Awami League Acting General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif. File PhotoThe BNP has even conspired over the issue of frustrated farmers setting paddy plants on fire, says Awami League Joint Secretary General Mahbubul Alam Hanif.
“The incident of a farmer in Bogura setting his paddy field on fire that went viral didn’t even happen in Bangladesh,” he said on Thursday (May 23).
He added that the incident happened in India’s Panjab which was posted on Facebook.
“And everyone knows how a BNP leader instigated the jute mill workers in Khulna,” Hanif commented.
He called on the law enforcers to arrest the people who are behind the propaganda of paddy fields being set on fire and instigating the jute mill workers.
On Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s contributions, Hanif said that under her regime the women of the country have come a long way.
“They are taking part in the leadership of the local government and have won in the polls in tremendous competition,” he said.
