BNP chairperson, Khaleda Zia, was offered to receive treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), country’s best hospital, with all medical facilities, said bridges minister Obaidul Quader.
Talking on the issue of the treatment, the minister questioned back: “is there any better place than the CMH in the country for treatment?”
He made the remarks while inspecting the management of Eid journey for homebound people in capital’s Mohakhali bus terminal on Thursday.

The senior AL leader asked: “Why doesn’t Khaleda Zia trust the CMH, coming from a defence background?”

Expressing puzzlement, Quader said: “do they (BNP) want Khaleda’s treatment or are they using the ‘health issue’ as a political tool?”
The minister stated that the BNP were trying to politicize the matter.
Since BNP failed in all other efforts to launch a movement against the government, they are muddying the water with the medical question, commented Quader.
The minister expressed his disbelief, saying: “CMH is run by the army and they do not trust them?”
