Ensure fair price for farmers’ crops: BNP to govt

His remarks came during a demonstration of pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Jute Mill Workers’ Party on Saturday (May 18).
“The government is importing rice even when the country is self-sufficient in the food sector,” he said.
“This is all a conspiracy on the government’s part. The farmers must be given the right prices for their crops and the workers must be paid their wages,” he added.
“We must protect our fundamental rights!”
Noman said that the jute is our fundamental asset and everything must be done to save it.
“The jute mill workers must be saved and production of jute must be increased,” he said.
Coming down hard on the food minister on considering rice export, Noman said, “How can there be a surplus when the government is importing rice?
He said that the banks were being looted and money being laundered abroad and the people have to be watchful about where the money is going.
