Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad and Leader of the Opposition has reported to police saying he fears of being victim of signature fraud.

On Wednesday (Apr 24), the he filed a general diary (GD) with the Banani police station.

Inspector Shaihan Waliullah, who is in charge of the investigation, told Bangla Tribune that the GD signed by Ershad says that the he fears of being defrauded of forging his signature.

It says that the former military dictator believes his assets, including businesses and bank accounts, and even decisions regarding his party can be at stake as he fears a certain quarter may forge his signature.

In the wake of his falling health, Ershad fears of security and reported to police, Inspector Waliullah said quoting the GD filed with the Banani police station.
