BNP does not negotiate with an undemocratic government, said BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday (Apr 23) during a press conference.
Calling Khaleda Zia a leader who does not compromise with autocrats, he added: “Using state power, Khaleda Zia is kept behind bars.”
The imprisonment of Khaleda Zia is an ignominious chapter in the history of Bangladesh, he added.
Social violence in Bangladesh has reached such a state that the social fabric has disintegrated, he observed.
Asserting that Khaleda Zia is not getting proper treatment, Rizvi, observed: “She must be released soon and allowed to take treatment at a hospital of her own choice.”
Rizvi also expressed deep sorrow at the bomb attack in Sri Lanka and the mosque massacre in New Zealand.
