Radical Islamist group Hifazat-e Islam has demanded the parliament membership of Workers Party chief Rashed Khan Menon be revoked for his remarks on the Ahmadiyyas.
The Islamist group warned of tougher movement if their demand would not be met.
Hifazat Secretary General Junaid Babunagari came up with the demand at a protest rally at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque premises on Friday (Mar 8).
Citing former minister Menon sided with the Ahmadiyyas, the Hifazat leader called the government to declare them “Kafer’ (non-believer).”
“No atheist including Menon who side with Ahmadiyyas will be spared,” Babunagari said before he warned the atheist of ousting from the country.
