BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is in unspeakable pain, said the party’s Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
“She has been imprisoned in a dark, damp and abandoned prison without any treatment,” he told the media on Monday (Mar 4) while announcing an hour long program demanding proper treatment for Khaleda and her release.
He said that the government has wrongfully imprisoned eminent lady such as Khaleda and putting her through physical and psychological pain.
“BNP will lead a human-chain demonstration in front of the National Press Club on Mar 6 from 11 am-12 pm,” he said.
Rizvi quoted Khaleda saying that she was genuinely ill and not receiving therapy and neither was her blood work being done.
“We have been consistently requesting to arrange for her treatment at a specialised hospital,” he added.
