The briefing will be held at Gano Forum’s Motujheel offices in the city 4pm on that day after the party’s central committee meeting there, its Media Co-coordinator Latifur Bari Hameem told Bangla Tribune.
Hameem said, “Saturday’s sitting will set the party next course of action after discussing the district leaders’ opinions, which Gano Forum received at its extending meeting on Jan 5.”
Elaborating the agenda of the Saturday’s meeting, Gano Forum Training Secretary Rafiqul Islam said, “Issues including the 11th Parliamentary Election and oath-taking of the party two MPs-elect will be discussed.”
The issue of Gano Forum’s two MPs-elect taking oaths came into the limelight following the contradictory remarks from the party top leaders.
On Jan 5, party chief Dr Kamal said they were positive to their MPs-elect to be sworn into Parliament.
A day later, its general secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu said no MPs-elect of Oikya Front would take the oath.
Gano Forum is one of the components of BNP-led Jatiya Oikya Front.
