The ruling Awami League will reveal their polls manifesto for the upcoming national election on Tuesday (Dec 18), said people familiar with the matter.

Party chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will make the announcement in an event at the capital’s Hotel Sonargaon at 10am, Tuesday.

The party has picked “Bangladesh at the forefront of prosperity” as the slogan in their manifesto which will feature successes of the government in the last two terms along with future plans laid out in phases.

The planning included goals targeting year 2021, 2030, 2040 and 2100, according to the sources.

The Delta Plan, Blue-economy, youth empowerment and zero tolerance against corruption are the key issues that the Awami Leauge has given the utmost importance in their manifesto, they added.

Awami League Presidium member Dr Abdur Razzak led the manifesto panel as its convenor with specialists of various sectors in the committee. 

The panel worked as per the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
