Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan has vowed to prevent the war criminals and the collaborators from entering the Parliament even if they emerge victorious in the upcoming national election.

“We won’t let the Rajakars (collaborators) win in the parliamentary election. Even a single collaborator or war criminal wins it we will prevent the person from entering the House,” Shajahan said on Sunday (Dec 16).

Shajahan spoke at the inauguration of ‘Bijoy Mancha’ organised by Sammilita Muktijoddha Sangsad and Sammilita Sangskritik Jote at the city’s Shahbag.

Shajahan, who is the convenor of the Muktijoddha Sangsad, urged the youths to vote for the pro-liberation forces saying.

“Our prime challenge is to uproot the collaborators and war criminals from the country,” he said.

Referring to Jatiya Oikya Front leader Dr Kamal Hossain’s angry reaction to journalists on Dec 14, Shajahan said, “He (Kamal) once told that he wouldn’t negotiate with the Rajakars.

“But Dr Kamal shouted at the journalist to shut them to talk about the collaborators,” said the minister.

Shajahan claimed that the opposition alliance Oikya Front is comprised of collaborators.
