Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon speaking at BSMMU on Saturday (Dec-14). He said that Dr. Kamal Hossain has lost the moral rights to speak about the Liberation War of 1971 after his outburst with the journalists.Oikya Front Convener Dr Kamal Hossain has lost the “moral rights” to visit the Martyred Intellectual’s Memorial as well as the right to talk about the Liberation War by colluding with war criminals, said Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon.
“Dr Kamal has overtaken Khaleda Zia’s role of establishing the war criminals in the state and society,” he told the media on Saturday (Dec 15) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
“He probably lashed out at the journalists out of guilt. He should know better that it’s not possible to shut thousands of people up!” he added.
Menon said that the Gonoforum chief owes an apology to the nation, not just the journalist community.
“I might ask Kamal Hossain how much money he received to establish war criminals and anti-Liberation forces in the halls of power,” Menon responded to queries about Dr Kamal accusing a journalist of receiving money in exchange for asking controversial questions.
The Bangladesh Worker’s Party president slammed the children of war criminals taking part in the upcoming polls saying, “They have never acknowledged our freedom and neither will their children.”
He said that Dr Kamal has not only formed coalition with those anti-Liberation forces but has also nominated them to contest the polls with ‘paddy sheaf.’
Menon called for the nation to beware of their conspiracies and boycott them along with their supporters.
