The ruling Awami League has slammed Jatiya Oikya Front convener Dr Kamal Hossain for his behaviour with journalists on Martyred Intellectuals Day.
“Dr Kamal Hossain behaved disrespectfully with the journalists and also threatened them. Awami League strongly condemn such behaviour,” said Awami League Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak at a media call on Saturday (Dec 15).
Gano Forum chief Dr Kamal Hossain lashed out at journalists when he was asked about his stance of Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday (Dec 14) as he was leaving the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at Mirpur after paying respects to the martyred.
Nanak also said that Dr Kamal Hossain was never there during any national crisis and people are aware of his mysterious role during the 1971 liberation war and in 1975.
Dr Kamal has been involved in anti-state conspiracies on several occasions, alleged Nanak.
