Jatiya Oikya Front leader Dr Kamal Hossain has said no one including the government is above law.
“We will follow the law and so does the government. No government in this country is above law and it’s the true meaning of freedom,” Dr Kamal told a media briefing in Dhaka on Friday (Dec 14).
Dr Kamal advised the government to stop giving any more ‘illegal order’.
“The government has only 16 days to end its five-year tenure. Avoid giving ‘illegal orders’ and pass the remaining days quietly,” he said.
Urging police not to carry out any unconstitutional activities, Dr Kamal said, “They (police) should know that people who are ordering illegally will not be in power forever.”
The Oikya Front leader strongly condemned the attack on his motorcade at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in the city’s Mirpur.
