Jatiya Party leader ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader announcing the party`s polls manifesto on Friday (Dec 14) at the party chief`s office in BananiHM Ershad led Jatiya Party has announced its polls manifesto for the 11th National Election slated for Dec 30.
The party’s former secretary general, Ruhul Amin Howlader, who is undertaking the organizing responsibilities in the party chief’s absence, announced the 18-point manifesto at Ershad’s Banani office on Friday (Dec 14).
According to the manifesto, should they win, JP’s primary pledge is to restore democracy in the country in every sector and establish good governance.
Keeping the above in mind, the party has made 18 pledges which it claims will bring good tidings for Bangladesh.
JP has announced these 18 pledges in keeping with the development of the country and youth and “bring back the golden days of 1982-1990”- a period during which the country was under Ershad’s dictatorship.
The pledges include- establishment of provincial system, reform of the election system, introduction of full upazila system, independence of judiciary, sensitivity to religious values, subsidized prices of fertilizer, diesel, pesticide supply, tax-duty waivers and easy loan conditions for farmers.
Introduce stringent measures to curb terrorism, work in energy sectors, prevent wastage of crop fields, food security, reformation of education system, expansion of health care, establish peaceful political environment and many others.
