The Election Commission (EC) has rejected former Jatiya Party (JP) secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader’s nomination for Patuakhali-1 constituency.
EC made the decision on Saturday (Dec 8) after hearing an appeal against its rejection by concerned returning officer (RO).
On Dec 2, Patuakhli’s RO scrapped the nomination pepper of Howlader, who is now JP chief HM Ershad’s special assistant, because of his status as a loan defaulter.
