Former Awami League lawmaker Golam Maula Rony has joined the BNP with weeks left for the national election.
He joined the party on Monday (Nov 26) at the BNP chief’s Gulshan offices before the media.
Flanked by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Rony said, “I have left the Awami League and joined the BNP willingly.”

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir welcomed Rony to their party, saying their democratic movement will be intensified with his joining.
Later, he received the BNP nomination letter for contesting the general election from Patuakhali-3.
