The ruling Awami League says nominating candidates in 300 parliamentary constituencies for the Dec 30 voting will be finalised by Sunday.
“It will be completed by today (Saturday) or tomorrow (Sunday). Something between 65 and 70 seats will be shared with the allies,” General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Saturday.
His statement came while speaking at a seminar in Dhaka, reports state news agency BSS.
The seats for allies will be finalised by the week, he said.
“If the alliance aspirants assure us of their win in their seats, then the AL will share those with them,” added Quader, who serves as the road transport minister in the government.
