As many as 1,326 aspirants have collected the nomination forms of BNP to contest on the party ticket in the 11th Parliamentary Election, due on Dec 23.
“Aspirants can collect the nomination forms until Nov 16 as the deadline has been extended by two more days following the EC’s rescheduling the polls on Dec 30,” BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Monday (Nov 11).
The sale of nomination forms began at 10:45am and continued until 8pm.
BNP opened its sale of nomination papers with the party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir purchasing a form on behalf of its jailed Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Two more forms were also collected for Khaleda by the party leaders.
