Hasina opens talks with 25 parties

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is leading a 23-member delegation of the 14-Party alliance to the talks with the 25 parties. BSSThe ruling Awami League-led coalition has opened talks with 25 parties as part of its series of pre-election dialogues.
The talks kicked off around 7:30 pm at the Ganabhaban, an official told BSS.

The parties attending the talks are, the National Democratic Alliance, Bangladesh National Alliance (BNA), Bangladesh Social Development Party (BSDP), Bangladesh Gonotantrik Oikya Front, NAP Bhashani, National Peoples Party (NPP), Bangladesh National Democratic Front (NDF), Jukta Front, Gano Front, Prgogotishil Jote, Bangladesh Gonotantrik Mukti Andolan (BGMA), Jatiyo Ganotantrik Jote (NDA), Bangladesh Satyabrata Andolan, Oikya NAP, Okyaboddho Nagorik Andolan, Gonotantrik Bam Oikya, Bangladesh Krishak Shramik Party (KSP), Progotishil Gonotantrik Dal (PDP), Bangladesh Muktojoddha Oikya Jote, Bangladesh Gonotantrik Oikya Jote, Trinamool Jatiyatabadi Gonotantrik Andolan, Jatiya Swadhinata Party (JSP), Bangladesh Jatiya Party and Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mohajote.
The much-anticipated political talks began on Nov 1 with dialogue between the 14-Party alliance and Gano Forum chief Dr Kamal Hossain’s alliance with the BNP and three other parties, the Jatiya Oikya Front.
A second round of the talks between the ruling coalition and the Oikya Front was held earlier on Wednesday.
Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh chief AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury-led Jukto Front sat for the dialogue on Nov 2 and Jatiya Party President HM Ershad-led United National Alliance (UNA) on Nov 5.
The 14-party alliance held talks with 12 Islamic parties and the Left Democratic Alliance (LDA), a coalition of eight leftist parties, on Nov 6, after which Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that their party will not hold any more talks after Wednesday.
