A senior BNP leader has said people of the country will unite irrespective of their political ideologies when the time is right.
“Our charter of demand has become similar to those of the left parties’ and Chormonai Pir’s. So, one day time will come when all people will unite (against this government),” said BNP National Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan.
Speaking at a programme in the city on Thursday (Oct 18), Khan said, “Effort is under way to strengthen the Jatiya Jukto Front for the sake of a greater movement across the country.”
The senior BNP leader claimed that one doesn’t need to be too intelligent to predict the High Court verdict, due on Oct 29, in Zia Charitable Trust graft case against Khaleda Zia.
“We are passing a time when no is getting justice,” he said.
Citing Jatiya Jukto Front leaders were once involved with Awami League (AL), Khan said, “Dr Kamal Hossain, Mahmudur Rahman Manna and ASM Abdur Rab have now become bad people to AL.”
“They left AL because they couldn’t cope with the party’s evildoings,” he said.
