Sajeeb Wazed Joy is the son of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her ICT Affairs Adviser. FILE PHOTOGano Forum chief and senior lawyer Kamal Hossain has ‘finally shown his true colours’ by launching a coalition with the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, says Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeeb Wazed Joy.
His remarks, on a social media post, came a day after his mother bashed Kamal Hossain for ‘joining hands with killers’ while addressing a public rally in Madaripur.
After weeks of talks and intense negotiations, the BNP, Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikya Prokriya, ASM Abdur Rab’s Jatiya Samajtantrik Dala (JSD) and Mahmudur Rahman Manna’s Nagorik Oikya formally launched an alliance styled ‘Jatiya Oikya Front’ on Saturday, just months before the general election.
“... His (Kamal Hossain) one partner the BNP burned our people alive with arson attacks during 2013 and 2015. His other partners Jamaat tortured and murdered our innocent civilians during our War of Liberation,” Joy wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.

Joy, who advises the PM on ICT affairs, claimed that Kamal Hossain was among the key figures, who paved the way for a military-installed caretaker administration.

In his post, he also said that Kamal Hossain’s son-in-law, journalist David Bergman, tried to save the war criminals and “now continuously writing against our country”.
Describing Kamala Hossain as ‘unpatriotic and anti-Bangladesh’, Joy wrote, “They have no morals, no ethics and certainly no love for Bangladesh. They are happy to join hands with terrorists and the corrupt, if they think that will get them to power.”
