Speakers attending the session. Photo: Collected.Awami League has briefed the foreign diplomats about the conspiracy to kill Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and involvement of former president Ziaur Rahman in the killing.
The briefing was organised at the Dhanmondi 32 on Saturday when diplomats from 42 diplomats took part.
Law Minister Anisul Haq, former Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, ruling party parliament member Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and others attended the programme.
The diplomats were amazed to know that Bangabandhu did not shift to any state residence, rather he stayed in his own house.
The leaders of the AL’s international wing also informed the envoys about the involvement of former president Ziaur Rahman in killing of Bangabandhu.

Shammi Ahmed, AL’s International Affair Secretary, said, “We tried to present the truth of the killing Bangabandhu through the event to the foreign officials.”

Law Minister Anisul Haq sought cooperation to bring back the killers to Bangladesh during the session.
He also described how Ziaur Rahman was engaged in the killing mission of Bangabandhu.
Terming the atrocities on Aug 15, 1975, as the most heinous act in history, ruling party parliament member Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said that the killers wanted to wipe out the spirit of liberation war.
