A father and his son have been killed after a truck hit their motorcycle at Ruhitpur area of Keraniganj in the capital.
The incident was reported on Friday (Nov 8) noon, said police.
The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Asadul Hoque and his son 6-year-old Sohan. Asadul’s wife Reshma has been critically injured in the incident.
Inspector Bacchu Miah of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost said, “The bodies have been kept at the hospital for autopsy.”
“Reshma has been released from the hospital after providing primary treatment,” added Inspector Miah.
Keraniganj Model police OC Shaker Mohammad Jobayer said, “The track involved in the incident has been seized, however, the driver managed to escape.”
“Police are trying to arrest him,” added OC Jobayer.
