As many as 184 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country in 24 hours till 8am Saturday (Oct 19), says the health department.
Of them, 62 were hospitalised in Dhaka and 122 outside the capital,
The Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said in a statement that the number of patients currently undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals in the country was 1,053.
As many as 443 patients were currently receiving treatment in 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka, whereas 610 people were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka,
Since January, as many as 93,361 people were hospitalised with dengue. Of them 91,062 made full recovery, the DGHS data said..
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research confirmed 98 dengue deaths after reviewing 158 reports out of 246 cases.
