Police have arrested a suspended deputy secretary in a case filed over attempting to rape a student with of Mohammadpur Government College at his office.
The arrest of Rejazul Karaim Ratan, deputy secretary of cultural affairs ministry, was made from the capital's Madhubagh area around 7:30pm on Saturday (Oct 12), SI Razib Hasan of Hajaribagh police told Bangla Tribune.
The allegation of raping a student surfaced against Ratan when he was the principal of Dhaka's Mohammadpur Government College last year.
