PHOTO/SAZZAD HOSSAINThe family of slain student Abrar Fahad has demanded all of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) students involved in the killing to be expelled.

Abrar's father, Barkat Ullah made the demand while speaking to local reporters in Kushtia late Friday, when after BUET authorities suspended 19 pupils for their alleged involvement in the Oct 7 killing.
He also wanted the case to be shifted to the speedy trial tribunal and completing the trial within shortest time. "Capital punishment must be ensured for the killers."
Ullah said his family members are passing their days in fear.
"My younger son [Abrar Faiyyaz] is studying at Dhaka College. Now he is scared of going to Dhaka," he said.
He asked for assurance of security for his family, along with compensation.
Abrar Fahad, a second year student of electrical and electronic engineering department of the university, was bludgeoned to death by some leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League's BUET unit inside the university's Sher-e-Bangla Hall in the early hours of Oct 7.
The murder sparked protests in Buet and elsewhere across Bangladesh.
After a discussion with BEUT Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Saiful Islam, the students decided to continue their protests demanding immediate implementation of five of their 10-point demands.
If the demands remain ignored, the students threatened that they would not allow to hold this year's BUET entrance test slated for Oct 14.
At the same meeting, the VC announced to ban all sorts of political organization and their activities on the campus.
