The teachers’ association of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has decided to ban all kinds of politics by its faculties.
The association’s President AKM Masud made the announcement on Wednesday (Oct 9) while addressing demonstrating students, demanding justice for Abrar Fahim on the BUET campus.
“We have come to a decision to ban teacher politics at the university. Student politics will also be banned soon,” he told the protesters.
He also said the decision was taken at the association’s emergency meeting held earlier in the day.
