The duo landed in jail after a mobile court sentenced them to six months in jail on separate charges on Sunday (Oct 6), said RAB Assitant Director (legal and media wing) Mizanur Rahman.
Earlier, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam sentenced Samrat, under the Wildlife (preservation and security) Act, for keeping two Kangaroo hides in his possession.
Arman was given six months in prison, as he was found in a drunken state at the time of his arrest from Comilla.
A team of RAB arrested Samrat along with Arman in Cumilla's Chauddagram early on Sunday over the alleged links to illegal casino business in Dhaka.
Later, the elite force raided Samra't's office at Dhaka’s Kakrail and seized over 1,100 tablets of contraband yaba, two kangaroo hides, foreign guns, six rounds of ammunition, two electroshock machines and 19 bottles of foreign liquor.
