Rapid Action Battalion has raided an illegal casino inside Youngmen’s Club in Dhaka’s Farirapool area.
The elite force raided the club on Wednesday (Sept 18), said RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Sarwar Bin Kashem.
RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam told Bangla Tribune: "As of now 142 people, including two women have been detained from the spot".
"Around Tk 2.4 million and huge number of gambling equipment has been seized from the club. The operation is still on.
"The casino belongs to Jubo League's Dhaka (South) city unit Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmud Bhuiyan," the magistrate added.
