The government has appointed Additional Inspector General Of Police Mir Shahidul Islam as the chief of police's Special Branch.
A gazette has been issued by the home ministry in this regard on Wednesday (Sept 11).
A cadre of BCS 1986 batch, Shahidul joined the police on Dec 20, 1989. He hails from Chuadanga.
