A leader of the quota reform movement, Suhel has been allegedly picked up by police detectives, claimed the convener of the Bangladesh General Student Rights Preserving Council Hasan Al Mamun.
Some plainclothed men picked up Suhel from the residence of Chhatra Union leader Lacky Akhter in the Chamelibag area in the capital around 4:30am on Thursday, Hasan claimed.
Contacted, Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said that the issue was under observation.
Suhel, a third-year student of the English Department at Jagannath University was staying in Lucky Akhter’s home for security reason, says the student rights preserving platform.
