Journalist Akhteruzzaman Lablu dies

Akhteruzzaman LabluAkhteruzzaman Lablu, Chief Reporter of the Bangla daily Bhorer Kagoj, has passed away. He was 52.
He breathed his last at the capital’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University hospital around 10pm on Monday (Jul 8), family sources said.
He had long been suffering from liver cancer.
His body will be taken to his workplace Bhorer Kagoj at 11am and at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity at 12pm on Tuesday (Jul 9). His Namaz-e-Janaza will also be held there.
The third namaz-e-janaza of the deceased will be held on the premises of National Press Club after Zohr prayers.
Later, he will be buried at Dhaka’s Azimpur graveyard.
Akhteruzzaman Lablu, who served as the president of Crime Reporters’ Association of Bangladesh for several times, is survived by his wife, relatives, well wishers and a host of admirers to morun his death.
