The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations are likely to be published by the third week of July.
“A proposal on publishing the results any day between Jul 20 and Jul 22 has been sent to the [education] ministry for its approval,” said Inter-Education Board Coordination Subcommittee President and Dhaka Education Board Chairmen Prof M Ziaul Haque.
Sources at education ministry said, the proposal then would be forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office and the date for publishing results would be fixed upon the consent of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Over 1.35 million appeared in HSC and its equivalent examinations under eight general education, boards, madrasa board and technical board this year.
