FR Tower: ACC presses charges on 23 people in two cases

"We have filed two cases over corruption regarding the FR Tower fire incident,” ACC Deputy Director Abu Bakar Siddiqui, the plaintiff of the case, told Bangla Tribune.

“A total of 23 individuals, including Rupayan Group Chairman Liaquat Ali Khan Mukul—five in one and 20 for the other case—have been accused of corruption," he added.

On March 28, the deadly fire in FR Tower claimed the lives of 26 people and injured more than 70.

Multiple inquiries were open to probe the incident and determine the ones responsible for the design malpractice that ended up killing and injuring so many.
