The probe report submission in the murder case of Xulhaz Mannan and his friend Mahbub Rabbi Tonoy has been deferred for the 34th time.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiduzzaman fixed Jul 18 to file the probe report after the investigation officer failed to submit the report, Court Constable Mujibur Rahman told Bangla Tribune on Thursday (Jun 20).
On Apr 25, 2016, Xulhaz, a LGBT activist and a local employee of USAID and his friend, theatre activist, Mahbub Tonoy were hacked to death allegedly by millitants at Xulhaz’s Kalabagan residence in Dhaka.

Xulhaz’s brother, Minhaz Mannan Emon, lodged a murder case with Kalabagan police while sub-inspector of Kalabagan police Mohammad Shameem filed an arms case.

Detective Branch Inspector Bahauddin Faruqui is investigating the murder case while Inspector Nurul Afsar is probing the arms case.
