Round the clock hospital services during Eid

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).The state-run and private hospitals will remain open during the Eid holidays.
Some hospitals will provide outdoor services under special arrangements.
The sources of the hospitals said that indoor and emergency services will be in operation round the clock in the three days of the vacation starting from Friday.
The on-duty health officials will enjoy their vacation in a suitable time, said a source.
The Director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Brig Gen Md Abdullah-Al-Harun told Bangla Tribune that the hospital officials will enjoy holidays in line with the rules during the vacations.
“We will keep open the indoor and the four departments of emergency: neuro-surgery, cardiac emergency, gynaecology department and orthopaedic during the Eid vacation”, Harun said.
Dr Samanta Lal Sen, the chief national coordinator for plastic surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College told our reporter, “The unit will operate round the clock during the Eid holidays.”
Non-Muslim officials will be available during the vacation and those who are staying in Dhaka will attend to emergency call, he added.
“We have prepared a five-day roster keeping the non-Muslims on the list in a bid to continue the emergency and indoor services,” said the director of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital Dr Uttam Kumar Barua.
Specialist doctors will also be attending patients during the holidays, he further added.
Dhaka Shishu Hospital authority has also made necessary plans for providing health services during the period, official sources said.
Due to the hot weather, the outbreak of diarrhoea could occur after the Eid festival, said the chief and director of International Centre for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR, B) Dr Azharul Islam Khan.
