Dhaka University Chhatra League activists withdrew their protest.Activists at Dhaka University have withdrawn their protest after promises were made to remove controversial people from Chhatra League’s full committee and expel the ones responsible for an assault at the Modhur Canteen on those not included in the committee.

This was confirmed by a protester and publicity secretary of the previous committee, Saif Babu.
He told Bangla Tribune that, “our demands have been met and therefore, we have postponed the protest movement; we have demanded the expulsion of controversial persons and inclusion of capable ones.”
We also want to meet the PM and demand punishment for the attack at the Modhu’s Canteen.
General secretary Golam Rabbani has expressed regret over several unsavoury incidents and said: “we will expel four persons and if needed more errant students will be cast out.”
Earlier, meetings were held at the AL president’s office in Dhanmondi between senior party leaders and the heads of two opposing student wings of Chhatra League. At the meet, AL’s joint general secretaries, Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Abdur Rahman, organizational secretary Mozammel Huq and Bahauddin Nasim were present.
At the meet, Chhatra League president, Rezwanul Huq Chowdhury Shovon, president of Rokeya Hall, Lipi Akhter, general secretary of Bangladesh Kuwait Friendship Hall, Farida Parvin, president of Shamsun Nahar Hall, Nipu Islam Tanni DUCSU member, Tilottoma Sikder, publicity member of the previous committee Saif Babu, president of the Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall, Sraboni Shayla and general secretary of Jasim Uddin Hall, Shahed Khan were present.
While presenting evidence about controversial leaders of the committee to the Chhatra league president and general secretary, students who were deprived of posts came under attack on 18 may, Saturday.
