Teachers ordered not to smoke in schools

Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education.The government has given a directive to teachers to refrain from smoking inside schools and in front of students.
The teachers were also asked not to take chewing tobacco, betel leaves or ground tobacco, according to the orders issued by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on Wednesday (Apr 24).
An order has been given to form healthy eating habit among students and bring all mobile eateries around a school under some form of monitoring.
The order also underlined that a food list has been made as per the instructions of the nutrition department of the University of Dhaka and an eating habit around that list should be followed.
The nutrition list will also be distributed among the students and guardians. The list states that food like ice cream, chips, cakes, soft drinks, energy drinks have high amount of carbohydrate which can trigger liver complications, obesity, kidney diseases, live problems, diabetes etc.
