Rajib death: Probe report delayed for 10th time

Rajib Hossain, who had lost an arm in a race between two buses in Dhaka on Apr 3, died of the severe head injuries sustained in the accident on Apr 17.The probe report submission on the death of Titumir College student Rajib Hossain, who died after his hand was dismembered in a bus accident, has been delayed for the 10th time.
A Dhaka court has fixed May 12 to submit the report although it was supposed to be submitted on Thursday (Apr 18).
Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Court Judge Sarafuzzaman Chowdhury gave the order after investigating officer Sub Inspector Aftab Ali failed to submit the report.
On Apr 3, Rajib was standing at the gate of a BRTC bus when a Shajal Paribahan bus overtook the vehicle that led him to lose his arm.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries on Apr 17 at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
A case was filed over the incident with Shahbag police and after his death, on Apr 23, the court approved a plea for the case to be filed as death caused by reckless driving.
