The throat-slit body of 15-year-old Ahmed Ali was found behind a tea-stall in the capital’s Khilgaon in May 2011.
On Monday (Apr 15), the court of Dhaka’s third additional metropolitan sessions judge convicted Md Shahadat Hossain, 42, and Md Sazzad Hossain, 34, of the killing.
It also acquitted three others as charges against them were not proven beyond doubt.
Previously, charges against of two other suspects were dropped as they had died during the trial.
According to the case documents, the convicts murdered the boy on the night of May 11, 2011 out of a previous feud with his family.
The teenager’s mother started a murder case and in April 2012, police pressed charges against seven people.
The trial kicked off in October next year after the court indicted all of the seven suspects.
