Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has cancelled the registration of the Supravat Paribahan, which ran over a Bangladesh University of Professionals student in Dhaka.
“Registration of the bus (Dhaka Metro-B-11-4135) has been temporally cancelled under Section no. 43 of the Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1983,” a BRTA letter said on Tuesday (Mar 19).
Earlier in the morning, 24-year-old Abrar Ahmed Chowdhury was run over by the Supravat Paribahan-operated bus in front of Jamuna Future Park in the city’s Narda, leaving him dead on the spot.
