The roads and drains in the city can’t remain dirty, said Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam.
“I want to stay with you to clean the roads and drain,” he said during a cleaning drive organised on the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birthday and National Children’s Day on Sunday (Mar 17).
He added that he won’t visit those wards that will remain unclean.
“We limited resources and manpower but we have the confidence to work. We have to work with everything to serve the people,” he said addressing DNCC.
He urged everyone to make sure that they do not litter the road and build a clean and beautiful Dhaka.
