Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested seven conmen, who have been duping people for money by luring them with foreign currencies.

The arrests were made on Thursday (Mar 14) night at the capital’s Kuril Biswa Road area, said RAB spokesperson Mufti Mahmud Khan.

“The fraud ring has been luring people with US Dollar and Riyal to fool them into handing the conmen big amount of cash,” he said.

“We made the arrests after we received multiple complaints that people have been conned by this group,” added the elite force official.

Details will be briefed to the media at RAB’s Kawran Bazar’s media centre later in the day, said Khan.
