Khaleda’s arrest ordered for hurting religious sensitivities

REUTERS/File PhotoA Dhaka court has ordered authorities concerned to show jail BNP chief Khaleda Zia arrested in a case filed over allegations of hurting religious sensitivities and spreading racial hatred.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Ziaur Rahman passed the order, setting Apri 24 for submitting report in this regard.
“The court ordered Gulshan Police Station authorities to show her arrested,” said Rakib Chowdhury, a bench assistant of the court concerned.
The court also documented the bail plea submitted by Khaleda’s counsel in the case, he added.
On Oct 21, 2014, President of Jananetri Parishad AB Siddiqui sued the BNP Chairperson for hurting religious sensitivities by making provocative while addressing a city programme on Oct 14.
