Chawkbazar fire: 11 DMCH patients in critical condition

Eleven victims of the Chawkbazar tragedy undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) are still in critical condition, said Dr Samanta Lal, Coordinator of the burns unit.
“Those undergoing treatment are still not out of danger,” he said on Saturday (Feb 23).
Lal said that nine people are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the burns unit while two were being treated at DMCH’s Casualty Department.
The ICU patients are- Anwar Hossain with 28 percent burn injuries, Mahamudul Hossain with 13 percent, Rezaul with 43 percent, Shohag with 60 percent, Zakir with 35 percent, Mozaffar with 30 percent, Helal with 16 percent, Selim with 14 percent and Salauddin with 20 percent burn injuries.
Their windpipes have been damaged.
Meanwhile, Rabiul admitted at the one-stop ICU and Kawsar at the Orthopedic Department are still in danger, the resident doctor said.
