The acting editor of Daily Manobkantha Abu Bakar Chowdhury has passed away.

He breathed his last at the early hours on Thursday at Dhanmondi Ibne Sina Hospital, his brother Md Ali Chowdhury told Bangla Tribune.

He was 58.

Ali Chowdhury said that his brother was taken to Ibne Sina after he suffered a heart attack at his Dhanmondi residence. Doctors pronounced his dead around 5:15am.

His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held after Zuhr prayer at Dhanmondi Takwa mosque and he will be buried at Azimpur Graveyard, he added.

Abu Bakar Chowdhury has previously held the post of News Editor at Ajker Kagoj and Joint News Editor at Samakal.
