Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) published the report at a media call organized by ASK on Thursday (Jan 10) at the Dhaka Reporters Unity premises.A report by rights group Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) shows that there has been an alarming rise in cases of extrajudicial killings with 466 killed in 2018.

According to the report, 466 people have been killed in incidents of ‘shootout’ and ‘crossfire’ with law enforcers. Among them, 292 people were killed in anti-drug drives conducted from May to December last year.
Moreover, 34 people were abducted by men pretending to be law enforcers. While 19 of them were found, most of them have been put behind bars under different charges.
The report showed that a staggering 732 women were raped or gang-raped last year alone. Among the rape victims, 63 were killed after the rape, while seven have committed suicide.
