Nadia Shah becomes Camden mayor for second time

Nadia ShahBangladeshi-British Nadia Shah has become the Camden mayor for a second time.
She has been officially appointed as the new Mayor of Camden at ceremony on Friday held at Camden Town Hall on Friday.
Councillor Shah represents Regent’s Park ward of Camden.
London Borough of Camden has a large Bangladeshi community like East End Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Born and raised in Camden, her parents hail from the southeastern district of Moulvibazar.
Her father Mohammad Nazrul Islam moved to the UK in the 1960s.
A mother of three, Councillor Shah is married to Jalil Shah, the chief of Camden Council’s IT wing.
In an instant reaction, after being appointed as the mayor for a second time, Councillor Shah thanked the Bangalee community and sought cooperation from all Camden residents.
