Bangladeshis held in Sri Lanka with 230 kg heroin

PHOTO/Bangladesh High Commission in ColomboPolice in Sri Lanka have arrested two Bangladeshi citizens in possession of 230 kg of heroin and 5 kg cocaine, says the Dhaka envoy in Colombo.
“We have been informed by the high-ups in the Sri Lankan government over the haul,” High Commissioner Riaz Hamidullah told Bangla Tribune on Monday (Dec 31).

The arrests were made from the Mount Lavinia Hotel during a raid by Police Narcotic Prevention Bureau in Colombo’s Dehiwala area, reported local media.
