According to Awami League leader Jahangir Kabir Nanak, this year’s vote was violence-free in comparison to previous ones.
He made the comments on Sunday (Dec 30) at the party chief’s Dhanmondi offices.
“Although some unpleasant isolated incident has been reported, the election was largely peaceful,” said Nanak.
“In previous polls, numbers of casualties are usually higher,” he said adding, “I think this year’s election has been peaceful, fair, impartial and participatory in comparison to previous election.”
